In chapter 14 Victor’s creation continues to discuss the family that lives near him and their history. He finds out they are not in poverty, but are a depressed family from their separation and loss. They had some legal issues back in Paris causing them to be separated and leaving
behind Safie. Safie had to endure the most lost when she lost the love of her life which made her go to Germany hoping to forget the pain. In the following chapter the creatures says that he is fascinated by his beloved cottagers and it helps him learn the views of social life. He then finds a couple of books which he uses his whole time to study and understand them. When reading the books he was fascinated he felt like he was connected to the characters ,but at the same time he felt distinct from them since he was this gigantic monster. He connected the most to the story of Paradise Lost since he was not link to anything existing. The character he relates to the most is Satan since he was viewed as the bitter and envy person. One day he feels papers in his pockets and it was notes that Victor made during the first four months of his existence. He was hurt to know that even Victor was disgusted of the monster he created and the horrors he was afraid was coming that he regretted creating him. He felt like his creator had abandoned him and for that he hated him which he didn’t want to. He finally introduced himself to the blind man and was having a pleasant conversation with him until his children came and were terrified of him. The son Felix started to beat him up to get him away from his father and the creature didn’t want to fight him back since he felt like he was part of the family so he just stormed out of the cottage. Felix confronts him to leave and later finds the cottages caught on fire. He decides to find Victor so he travels to Geneva and when he gets there he comes across a young boy who he wants to become friends with but he screams instead. He tells him that he doesn’t want to hurt him and then the boy says his father will hurt him since he is M. Frankenstein and hearing those words he takes action. He sworn revenge and decided he would be the first victim and he sticks out around the scene hoping Victor will show up. He also noticed a beautiful girl in the area at that time and decided she will take the fall and suffer as the murder.
