Chapters 5-7 Frankenstein

In chapter 5 the creature comes to life and Victor is taken aback. He never thought he would be able to reassemble a dead body and bring life to it. However, this creation doesn’t look 100% human it is quite awful and not appealing to see. After realizing what he has done he is unsure what the next move is when he comes across his old friend Henry. Henry surprises him to tell Victor he has decided to come study at the same university as him. Victor is very confuzzled since he is excited to have his best friend there but he also has the creature that he is hiding in his room. When they get to the room the creature is gone, but Victor doesn’t feel good since he wasn’t sleeping or looking out for his health while creating the monster. Victor gets very ill and Henry decides to skip his classes and take care of him. In the following chapter, his cousin Elizabeth writes letters to Victor expressing how much the family misses him and how he should come to Geneva. In the letters she catches him up on how everyone in the family is doing and even gossip going around. Victor isn’t quite ready to go back, but sends a letter back to assure them he is better. In the next chapter he gets another letter but from his dad explaining how his younger brother William was murdered. This breaks Victor and he heads right back to Geneva and before he gets to his house he goes to the spot where his brother was killed. When he is there he sees something behind a tree nearby swearing it looked just like the creature he created two years ago. At that moment it strikes him that the creature is what killed his brother and he is the reason why he is gone. Before he can tell his family they tell him that Justine an old friend is accused of being the murder.
