In the last chapters Victor is very cautious and while it should a night to celebrate their union in marriage, Victor is outside guarding his wife. He carried a firearm to be ready if the monster tries to approach. Sadly, he was to focus on the surroundings of the building that he wasn’t paying attention to his wife who inside. She let out a loud screamed, making Victor rush inside to find her body motionless and cold she was announced dead. Victor was heartbroken and devastated until he saw the grin from the creature in the window. He ran outside trying so hard to catch him, but failed miserably. After this incident Victor rushed on home to check on his father and Ernest who were perfectly safe. However, Victor’s dad was filled with heavy pain of losing his Elizabeth and his daughter that the pain was too much to bear that it killed him. Victor felt like his life was cursed he has lost everyone he ever cared about and it was all his fault for creating that monster. Victor had enough and finally reported the existence of this creature so they can find and punish him for his crimes. After hearing the wretchedness the monster created the authority was to frighten to go head to head against this monster, so Victor volunteer to do it with their permission. The ending chapter Victor is being made a fool of by the monster and follows his tracks for months. Even though Victor feels dead inside he is motivated to stay alive until he succeeds at getting revenge on killing the creature. He gets tired and ends up on the ship where he meets Walton and tells him the story of his life. Victor becomes very ill and knows he has failed on his conquest so he asks Walton to complete the deed since no creature like that should live on earth. Once Victor dies the creature comes to see his body and Walton sees him up close. The creature explains he never wanted to kill the innocent people and that he only heard Victor’s side of the story and not his. He strongly believes it is Victor’s fault for not giving him the love and happiness he deserved . Overall, I agree that the creature was the one at fault since he was basically a child who was not taught better and was abandoned. He made some of the choices to punish him and get Victor to notice him that he has feelings as well.
